Private Kindergarten Preparatory School looking to expand our team!
PHL PreK is a school-year private PreK in the Wexford area. We are currently looking for a possible lead teacher position for the 2025-26 school year.
Possible Job descriptions are as follows: Lead 3 year Preschool teacher -- M/W/F from 9-12. -OR- Lead 2.5 emergent Preschool teacher T/TH from 9-12. These lead positions get an extra hour of paid time per week for prep time as well. Lead Teacher positions start around $17 an hour and up.**Require an education or related degree or certificate, plus experience.
Can add additional hours/positions on to one of these lead positions with a possible Lead or Assistant afternoon Enrichment Teacher position which would take you from 12:00 until 3:00 pm on T/TH. Details can be discussed further, lead position would come with additional paid prep time as well. -OR- looking for a possible Music Teacher or P.E. Teacher for ages 3-5, which includes 2 additional hours a week (music classes are bi-monthly for classes) These lead positions start at $15 an hour and up.***Other hours available can include two weeks in the summer for summer camps or being a full-time substitute on your days off.
Benefits (no health insurance) include paid holidays, paid prep time, and paid required meetings and school functions, paid first aide and FBI clearances, paid personal time.
Lead Preschool Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood, Education, or related field. Proven experience in classroom management and teaching preschool-aged children. Strong communication skills and ability to engage with students and parents. Knowledge of curriculum development and early childhood development principles, as well as State Learning Standards. Experience with special education (autism spectrum, speech or physical needs, NEL or LEP, etc.) and behavior management strategies a PLUS! Familiarity with different educational teaching techniques and learning strategies. Responsibilities: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of preschool-aged children, utilizing State Standards and working along curriculum guidelines laid out by the teachers/school. Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe and nurturing environment. Foster communication with parents regarding student progress and development, and complete Student Progress reports at least twice per year. Assess and support individual learning needs, including those requiring special education services. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and promote early childhood education best practices. Monitor and document student behavior and development milestones. Lead both your students and assist your Assistant to create a healthy and balanced classroom environment
