4/5 PreK Program

Beginning where our 3's left off, and once again following PA State educational standards, there will be a much more defined emphasis on cognitive development, including age-appropriate literacy and mathematical skills, with the ultimate goal of kindergarten readiness. Activities will continue to address the child’s social and emotional development, as well as continued music and movement, and Spanish language weekly classes. This program is designed as an interactive learning community, where children build skills vital to success in kindergarten, continue focus on all subject areas of schooling, and develop a strong sense of confidence. The Pre-K program also provides a focus on problem solving, responsive listening, using language to learn, and social, collaborative, and specific directional skills.

This program is available to children who have reached the age of 4 by September 1.

The 4/5 year old pre-k program meets Monday through Thursday each week. In a typical year the AM session runs 9:15 – 11:55 A.M., while the PM session runs 12:25 – 3:00 P.M.
